Ranking up a module multiplies the effects, thus a rank zero Flow module increase your maximum power pool by 25%, a rank one Flow module increases it by 50%, a rank three Flow modules by 50%, etc.

If a mod increases a chance by a percentage (crit chance, stun chance), it is not added as a flat value, but as a percentage of the original chance. Thus, a 15% increased critical hit chance to a weapon, which has a standard critical hit chance of 10%, will results in a 11.5% chance to critical hit.

Elemental damage bonuses (fire, freeze, armor piercing and electric), is an added bonus to your damage and they stack. Read more about damage mechanics here.

Guardian All Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) 50% boost to player’s shield when player’s shild runs out. Upranking this mod increases the amount of shield boost by 10%.
Fast Deflection All Mod Offense Polarity Grineer (uncommon) 15% faster shield recharge rate.
Redirection All Mod Defense Polarity All (common) 25% increased shield.
Regen All Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) If the sentinel is killed, it will regenerate once. Upranking will grant the sentinel more health after it has regenerated.
Steel Fiber All Mod Defense Polarity All (common) 10% increased armor.
Vitality All Mod Defense Polarity All (common) 20% increased health.
Crowd Dispersion Wyrm Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) Unleashes AoE stun when multiple enemies are nearby.
Warrior Wyrm Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) Attacks first enemy in sight. Upranking increases attack range.
Ghost Shade Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) Cloaks the player when enemies are close. Upranking increases range to enemies before the sentinel triggers the ability.
Revenge Shade Mod Sentinel Polarity All (common) Will only attack if enemy has attacked first. Upranking increases attack range.
